Song of Songs

God's love is poured out on the believers without measure.  Christ woos us by progresively revealing more of Himself to us in our experience, and He gradually draws us to run after Him as our lovely Bridegroom so that we can grow to be His beloved Bride.  In The Song of Songs Watchman Nee expounds King Solomon's poetic allegory of God's love.  He discusses the stages of a believer's relationship with christ and reveals the spiritual history of every believer.  This history progresses from an initial pursuit of and satisfaction with Christ to an ever-increasing desire to be delivered from the self and the flesh through the genuine experience of the cross.  In this delieverance there is an intimate, sweet communion of a divine romance, which issues in our living and working in union with Christ for the fulfillment of God's eternal purpose.

Watchman Nee became a Christian in mainland China in 1920 at the age of seventeen and began writing in the same year.  Throughout the nearly thirty years of his ministry, Watchman Nee was clearly manifested as a unique gift from the Lord to His Body for His move in this age.  In 1052 he was imprisoned fro his faith; he remained in prison until his death in 1972.  His words remain an abundant source of spiritual revelation and supply to Christians throughout the world.
