One of the most critical questions in all of Scripture is asked  in the Book of Joel: "the Day of the Lord is great and very terrible, who can endure it?" (Joel 2:11). Malachi asked this same question in a different manner: "But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears?" (Malachi 3:2). Most people are surprised to find that these questions are not being asked of those who are in darkness and ignorance. These questions are being asked of God's people.

It is critical that Christians examine and ask the same questions about themselves. Will we stand? Have we cultivated lives that can withstand the shaking and the trials that will come to the entire earth? The writer of Hebrews makes clear that the Lord is coming, and before He comes, He will shake everything  that can be shaken. Now is the time to build an "unshakable life." By the grace and kindness of the Lord, in which we live and discover the truth of God's heart for us and for others. We must dedicate ourselves to understanding what it means to live as those wholeheartedly and radically dedicated to god-- for only those living this type of lifestyle will stand in the face of the coming storm that will be unlike anything the world has ever witnessed. We must prepare ourselves for the return of Jesus.
